Wash cycle after stripping process
POLYPLUS PRIME® was developed in order to solve the green glowing background issue with dye penetrant testing. Type V and Type II leave a residue on the surface of the parts being stripped which is not visible to the naked eye. Even after the parts have been run through a wash cycle they still have the residue left behind from the blasting process.
After wash, parts get dipped in dye penetrant.
This part was stripped with POLYPLUS PRIME® which did not leave any residue behind, so the dye penetrant washed off making the part very easy to read.

This part was stripped with Type V. It left a residue behind which absorbed the dye penetrant and causes it to glow green under a black light. This makes the part almost impossible to read.
